Sacramento County Perinatal Equity Initiative (PEI) Midwifery Scholarships

Since 2021, Sacramento County has been actively involved in the State of California's Perinatal Equity Initiative (PEI), striving to bridge gaps in maternal and infant health disparities. As a part of this vital initiative, Sacramento County is proud to offer scholarships designed to empower students to pursue midwifery education. The overarching goal is to increase access to midwifery care for Black families within Sacramento County, ensuring equitable healthcare services. Sacramento County's Midwifery Scholarship program is committed to fostering diversity within the field of midwifery. These scholarships are intended to support students who aspire to become midwives and subsequently serve the Sacramento community.
