About this opportunity

The Salish Sea Hub Graduate Scholarship provides one or more scholarships of at least $1,000 each to academically outstanding graduate students in the Geography department at the University of Victoria. The scholarship supports students pursuing or conducting community-based research that addresses any of the 46 articles outlined in the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UN DRIP) and/or the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Preference is given to Indigenous applicants. Awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units, and normally require a minimum A- average. Recipients are approved by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon recommendation from the Department of Geography.
