Sally Lofting Scholarship

University of St Andrews Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Sally Lofting Scholarship was established by a generous donation from Sally Lofting 1970, in order to support students from Scotland and the rest of the UK in their studies in Modern Languages or Medicine at St Andrews. The scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews. The award provides £4,400 per year paid as maintenance but can be used towards University accommodation fees. Maintenance is paid in ten monthly instalments directly to the student's bank account from September to May, with a double payment in February. This scholarship is paid annually for the duration of the undergraduate programme and selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria. Students must apply through the St Andrews Access Award application form.
