Salutatorian Scholarship

The Salutatorian Scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen who are named Salutatorian by their high school. This one-year scholarship provides financial support to recognize academic achievement for Mississippi residents graduating from Mississippi high schools. The scholarship award of $2,000 is disbursed equally over two semesters during the student's first year at Mississippi State University. To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum 9th-11th grade GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be a Mississippi resident graduating from a Mississippi high school. Applicants are required to submit both the General Scholarship Application and the specific Salutatorian Scholarship Application through the scholarship portal, which includes providing their high school counselor's contact information for verification of their salutatorian status.
