Samiskt språkstipendium

The Sami Language Scholarship is a motivational scholarship program offered by Östersund Municipality in Sweden. This funding opportunity is specifically designed to encourage and support students who are studying the Sami language. The scholarship is available to high school students who are registered residents of Östersund Municipality or employees of Östersund Municipality who are enrolled in Sami language courses. Applicants must be enrolled as full-time or part-time students with an educational provider approved by CSN (Swedish National Board of Student Aid) and must be receiving instruction in the Sami language. The scholarship serves as motivation to continue Sami language studies and helps preserve this important indigenous language. Recipients are required to complete their Sami language studies, and if they discontinue their studies for any reason, they must notify the municipality's Sami course and activity coordinator and repay the full scholarship amount.
