About This Opportunity
The University of Leicester is proud to have obtained the University of Sanctuary award and offers up to four Sanctuary Scholarships to help reduce the barriers to participation in higher education faced by those seeking asylum in the UK. The scholarships are designed to ensure that higher education is accessible to all based on merit alone. Each Sanctuary Scholarship consists of a tuition fee waiver and a support package determined following assessment with the Welfare Service. The awards are available to applicants wishing to begin their studies at the University of Leicester in September 2025 who can demonstrate academic ability but face barriers to success. Available awards include 2 Undergraduate awards for 3-year programs, 1 Taught Masters award, and 1 PhD award with 3 years of funding.
