Sandra K. Lacey Scholarship

The Sandra K. Lacey Scholarship is for deaf Sarasota County residents. The scholarship may be used for a variety of post-secondary education opportunities including certifications and degrees. Applicants must be Sarasota County residents with severe and profound hearing loss, which refers to a person who cannot detect sound at an amplitude of 71 or higher decibels. Applicants must include proof of hearing loss (e.g., audiogram, medical diagnosis) and Sarasota County residency (e.g., identification card, home or utility bill) when applying. The scholarship is supported by the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation and administered through the Education Foundation of Sarasota County. The scholarship has no fixed deadline and operates on a rolling basis.
