About This Opportunity

The Santa Singh and Balwant Kaur Scholarship supports Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and Afghan women who are experiencing financial hardship while pursuing vocational or higher education at RMIT University. Established by Pretam Kaur in memory of her parents, this scholarship aims to empower women from marginalized backgrounds through education. The scholarship provides financial assistance to help cover educational costs for students enrolled in certificate IV, diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree or bachelor degree programs. Preference is given to vocational education students. Eligible applicants must identify as a woman and be either an Aboriginal and/or Torres Islander, or born in Afghanistan and migrated to Australia. The scholarship recognizes the shared history of colonization and aims to create a more peaceful and just future through educational opportunity.
