About This Opportunity

The Sarah and Murial Jeavons Memorial Scholarship was established in 1995 to assist outstanding female students to undertake studies in organ at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. This scholarship provides financial support to female organ students enrolled in either coursework or research degrees at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship was established from a donation by Murial Mahala Jeavons and aims to support women pursuing organ performance studies at the university level. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the offer letter to successful recipients. Recipients are automatically considered as part of their admission application, with no separate application required. Selection is based on academic merit, portfolio, and/or performance ability, with financial hardship considered when applicants are of equal merit. For postgraduate research students, research achievements and potential may also be considered in the selection process.
