About this opportunity
The Sartori Memorial Scholarship is available for students commencing an engineering degree at RMIT University. This scholarship was created by Yvonne Sartori as a tribute to her husband Mario G Sartori, an RMIT graduate who migrated from Italy and worked as a toolmaker. Like his parents, Mario believed in the value of education and encouraged others to obtain formal education and qualifications. The scholarship provides financial support to engineering students who have achieved excellent academic results but face circumstances that impact their ability to study. Eligible circumstances include receiving government low-income benefits, living with a disability or long-term medical condition, experiencing personal or family difficulties, relocating from rural or regional areas, being from foster or kinship care, or being from under-represented backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, recent migrants, refugees, or students from schools in the Schools Network Access Program. The scholarship aims to relieve financial stress and allow students to focus on their studies without needing as much part-time work.
