About this opportunity
The Sasha Roberts Scholarship was established in memory of Sasha Roberts, who joined the School of English in 1997 as a specialist in Shakespeare and the Renaissance and was promoted to Senior Lectureship in 2006. After an outstanding academic career, she was tragically killed in a road accident. Sasha was a brilliant teacher, loved and admired by her students, a distinguished scholar, and a vibrant presence in the department. The scholarship was set up by her family and honors her legacy. The award provides a £3,000 stipend per annum to support students pursuing MA programmes in the School of English or the Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the University of Kent. The stipend is split into two payments of £1,500 in October and January. All candidates who apply for a taught MA programme by the deadline are automatically considered for the scholarship, regardless of fee status, nationality, or domicile. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview.
