About this opportunity

The Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor Indigenous Scholarship is a $20,000 scholarship awarded annually on the basis of academic excellence to First Nations/Métis/Inuit students pursuing graduate or post-graduate studies in any field at the University of Saskatchewan or University of Regina. The scholarship may be awarded to one student or split between equally deserving candidates. Applicants must have graduated from a Saskatchewan university, be Canadian citizens, and reside in Saskatchewan for the duration of their studies. The program supports thesis or non-thesis (project-based) graduate programs, with preference given to students in fields of study that support Saskatchewan's Growth Plan and address complex challenges impacting Saskatchewan citizens. Additional preference is given to applicants in the early stage of their degree or who have not received other substantial awards aligned with Tri-Council Canada Graduate Scholarships national standards.
