About this opportunity
The SaskEnergy Scholarships for Indigenous Students provide financial support to Indigenous students (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) pursuing undergraduate degrees at the University of Saskatchewan. This entrance scholarship is valued at $2,500 and is available to students enrolling in specific programs including Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in English, History or Political Studies, or Bachelor of Science in select disciplines such as Renewable Resource Management, Economics, Computer Science, Environmental Earth Sciences, Geological Sciences, Land Use and Environmental Studies, and Public Administration. Recipients must have resided in Saskatchewan for at least 12 consecutive months prior to application, maintain full-time enrollment status (18 credit units), demonstrate financial need, and submit evidence of leadership skills and community involvement. The scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement (40%), financial need (40%), and a submitted statement (20%). This award recognizes Indigenous students who demonstrate both academic excellence and commitment to their communities while pursuing higher education in fields critical to Saskatchewan's economic and environmental future.
