About this opportunity
A scholarship of $1,000 awarded to an academically outstanding graduate student in the Counselling Psychology program who is a member of one or more groups with historical and/or current barriers to equity. Eligible groups include First Nations, Métis, Inuit and all other Indigenous peoples; members of groups that commonly experience discrimination due to race, ancestry, colour, religion and/or spiritual beliefs or place of origin; persons with visible and/or invisible (physical and/or mental) disabilities; or persons of marginalized sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. Preference is for students with demonstrated financial need. The scholarship is awarded by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon recommendation of the Faculty of Health. No application is required as awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units. Normally, the minimum requirement for consideration is an A- average and students must be enrolled full-time in the graduate program.
