About this opportunity

The Fauvette Loureiro Memorial Scholarship was established in 1997 through a gift from the estate of Renee Fauvette Erdos, an educator and founder of the History Teachers' Association of NSW, celebrating the memory of her mother Fauvette Loureiro. The scholarship aims to support Sydney College of the Arts (SCA) graduates to pursue a program of professional development through travel. Travel projects within Australia are accepted. The scholarship offers two tiers of funding: $10,000 for emerging artists (five years or less from graduation) and $30,000 for mid-career/established artists (more than five years from graduation). Each shortlisted applicant also receives $1,000 to assist with costs associated with participating in the accompanying Fauvette Loureiro Memorial Scholarship Exhibition at the SCA Gallery. Recipients must complete their proposed travel and project by the end of the following year after receipt of the scholarship and submit a one-to-two-page report on completion.
