About This Opportunity

The Scape Accommodation Support Scholarship is designed for students who need to relocate to Melbourne to study at RMIT. It provides a rental subsidy worth up to $9,620 to assist with accommodation costs. The scholarship is available to Australian and New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, and permanent humanitarian visa holders who are from interstate or rural/regional areas within Australia. Recipients must be commencing full-time study in semester 1 2026 in a certificate IV, diploma, undergraduate degree, or postgraduate by coursework program at RMIT. The scholarship covers a portion of weekly rent at selected Scape accommodation locations in Melbourne, including Scape Melbourne Central, Scape La Trobe, Scape Cornell Place, and Scape Swanston. Students must demonstrate circumstances that impact their ability to study, such as receiving a government-tested low income benefit, living with a disability, experiencing personal difficulties, or being from an under-represented background. The scholarship is paid as a rental subsidy for 52 weeks from February 2026 to February 2027.
