About this opportunity

This grant program supports pre-projects within professional performing arts that contribute to developing artistic concepts, methods and ideas, such as the development of stage art or choreography. The purpose is to support the development of artistic concepts or artistic ideas, explore aspects of artistic practice, or investigate new artistic methods and directions. The pre-project should be an artistic exploration process that occurs before or independently of work on a potential production. Applicants can conduct the pre-project alone or in collaboration with others. Examples of funded activities include developing new stage texts, exploring new choreography, investigating scenography and scenic techniques, exploring techniques or methods, and testing concepts or ideas. The pre-project must be an independent and delimited project, not a production itself.
