The Scheffer Scholarship for Women in Engineering is awarded to students who identify as female with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta. The scholarship selection is based on academic standing. This endowed scholarship fund was established by John and Marenus (Rien) Scheffer to support women pursuing engineering education and to promote gender diversity in the engineering field.
