About this opportunity
The Schjerven Christian Leadership Scholarship is offered by Concordia University School of Education and presented by the Robert and Anita Schjerven Endowment to honor professional church work within the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and support its continued legacy. These scholarships provide financial support to undergraduate students who are enrolled in church work programs and intend to teach or work in an LCMS church or school upon graduation. The scholarship awards up to $2,500 per semester for up to two semesters, with spring semester disbursement dependent upon satisfactory completion of the fall semester. Recipients are selected based on demonstrated leadership skills and experience as an undergraduate student, commitment to the Lutheran teaching ministry, and demonstrated financial need.
