About this opportunity

This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student undertaking research in robotic imaging for autonomous inspection and intervention with an advanced agile underwater drone. The scholarship is funded by Hullbot Pty Ltd and the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. The project aims to develop new visual sensing approaches to enable next-generation performance in deployed underwater systems. The work will focus on sensing for Hullbot's cutting-edge nimble underwater drone, improving performance and allowing operation in previously prohibitive conditions. The scholarship supports full-time PhD research within the Faculty of Engineering, targeting students with expertise in imaging, image processing, computer vision, and robotics.
