About this opportunity
This postgraduate research scholarship provides financial assistance to a PhD student undertaking research in evaluating the pathological basis of sleep-wake circuitry disruption from prodromal to advanced stages of Parkinson's disease to identify novel therapeutic targets for symptoms. The scholarship is funded by the US Department of Defense and Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The successful applicant will work within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney and must be enrolled full-time in a PhD program. The research will focus on understanding the mechanisms of sleep-wake disruption across different stages of Parkinson's disease progression with the aim of identifying new therapeutic approaches.
