About This Opportunity

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Scholarships program offers multiple scholarship and cash award opportunities for creative teens participating in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Students can earn recognition and financial awards across various categories including portfolio scholarships up to $12,500 for high school seniors, the American Voices & Visions Award ($500), the Flaunt It Award celebrating individual differences ($2,000), the Herblock Award for Editorial Cartoon ($2,000), the New York Life Award for works about grief and loss ($2,500), and the Best-in-Grade Award ($500). The program is administered by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers and represents one of the longest-running and most prestigious recognition programs for creative teens in the United States. Educators of National Winners are also eligible for cash awards, encouraging mentorship and support in creative education.
