School of Accounting and Finance Doctoral Award

An award provided annually to a graduate student registered full time in the doctoral program in the School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo. Selection is based on demonstrated academic excellence with a minimum cumulative average of 80% and research potential. The award is given in addition to any funding offered to the student at the time of admission to the doctoral program. Recipients are selected automatically by the SAF PhD Policy Committee without the need for application. The goal is to provide an award annually in the fall term of at least $500, though the value could be less depending on funds available.
