About this opportunity
The School of Continuing Education Alumni Scholarship supports adult learners enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in General Studies Degree Program at Eastern Illinois University. This scholarship is awarded to students who have completed at least 20 credit hours in the BGS program and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Financial need is a primary consideration in the selection process.
Applicants must be full-time or part-time students accepted to Eastern Illinois University and pursuing the BGS degree. The scholarship requires two faculty recommendation letters from EIU faculty members and a two-page essay outlining future goals, how education will help achieve those goals, why the funds are needed, and how they will be used.
The award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed the following Fall semester. The scholarship amount varies depending on available funds from the School of Continuing Education Alumni Endowment.
