About this opportunity
The School of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh is offering two doctoral scholarship awards for outstanding candidates commencing PhD study in September 2026. The first award commemorates Rev Professor D.W.D Shaw and supports research relating to Theology, Biblical Studies, Ethics, and Religion and Literature. The second award supports research relating to World Traditions. Both scholarships cover full tuition fees and provide a stipend at the UKRI rate for three academic years, subject to satisfactory progress. Award holders are expected to be energetic members of the postgraduate community and engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body. The School offers a range of training and development opportunities appropriate to doctoral study.
