About this opportunity

The School of Music at The University of Queensland provides all confirmed Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates with research support funding over the duration of their candidature. PhD candidates receive up to $2,000 and MPhil candidates receive up to $1,000. The funding is designed to help students undertake research activities that enhance their research project, present their research at conferences, and carry out other approved activities relating to their research project. To be eligible, applicants must be current PhD or MPhil candidates in the School of Music. Applications should be submitted approximately 3 months before the research activities are to commence. Successful applicants must complete the confirmation of candidature milestone before accessing funds and must report on the use of funds as part of mid-candidature and thesis review milestones.
