About this opportunity
The School of Psychology at the University of Kent is offering up to three PhD GTA scholarships to highly motivated students. Graduate Teaching Assistants hold a unique position as both registered PhD students receiving a scholarship and employees of the University. GTAs receive a combined stipend with salary element and maintenance grant, along with fee-paid teacher training through the Associate Fellowship Scheme. As a GTA, scholars will assist in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to undergraduate students, including leading seminars, supporting lab-based sessions, and providing academic guidance. This opportunity provides valuable teaching experience, academic mentorship from leading academics in psychology, and flexible hours that balance teaching responsibilities with postgraduate studies and research. The School of Psychology comprises over 50 academic staff members and supports approximately 80 PhD students, ranked 16th in the UK in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework with 80% of publications rated as world-leading or internationally excellent.
