School of Veterinary Science Masterate Scholarship in Anaesthesia

Massey University offers a three-year residency scholarship in veterinary anaesthesiology for veterinary graduates pursuing a Masters degree. The program prepares candidates for ECVAA and/or ACVAA qualifications. The successful resident will work in an academic teaching hospital with complex cases, supervised by three faculty members with ECVAA/ACVAA credentials. The program emphasizes locoregional expertise with dedicated ultrasound-guided nerve block equipment. Residents benefit from exceptional work-life balance with ample off-clinic time for studying and research. Support includes attendance at a specialty conference in the second or third year. Emergency out-of-hours service is required one week in five with additional compensation. The scholarship covers tuition and fees, plus an annual tax-free stipend. Applicants must have completed a 1-year rotating internship or 2 years equivalent private practice experience and hold a BVSc degree registerable in New Zealand.
