Science Engagement and Communication (SEC)

Lundbeck Foundation Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Lundbeck Foundation's Science Engagement and Communication Call supports projects that strengthen the dissemination and engagement of research-based knowledge within society, with a focus on neuroscience, the brain, and brain-related disorders. The purpose is two-fold: to support projects that inspire and engage young people to focus on science, particularly neuroscience, as a career, and to communicate knowledge about the brain and brain disorders to the public. The Foundation welcomes applications for SEC projects that help promote better understanding of the brain and nervous system, inform and reduce stigma related to brain disorders, elucidate the conditions of health research, engage people in neuroscience, and recruit and keep talent in biomedical and health science. Projects should shift focus from education to engagement, encouraging active participation. Communication projects come in many forms including knowledge sharing, exhibitions, festivals, podcasts, lectures, documentaries, TV-series, and explainers. Applications from patient organisations or researchers that wish to engage the public in neuroscience and health-related matters are welcome.
