Science International Scholarships

The Science International Scholarships at The University of Queensland provide financial support to international students commencing their first semester at UQ in approved Faculty of Science programs. The scholarship offers a $5,000 tuition fee reduction for one semester to support international students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies in science-related fields. This scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate strong academic performance in their previous studies and have the capacity to create change and contribute to science. Eligible programs include those in agriculture and animal sciences, environment, health and medicine, and science and mathematics. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and supports international students beginning their journey at UQ in science disciplines. Applicants must be international students commencing an approved UQ Faculty of Science program with a minimum one-year duration, and must have met the conditions of their offer by the scholarship's closing date. Selection is based on academic performance and the applicant's demonstrated capacity to contribute to science through a personal statement. The number of awards may vary each year, and the scholarship is open for applications in advance of each semester's commencement.
