Semper Ardens Accelerate

The Semper Ardens Accelerate grant provides three to five-years of funding for the consolidation of an independent research group or research environment. The purpose is to support newly appointed tenured associate professors in establishing and strengthening their research activities. This framework grant may be used to cover expenses that are relevant and necessary for completing research activities, including consumables, equipment, travel, research stays, conferences, and research leadership courses. Grant recipients are also invited to participate in a research leadership course free of charge and networking events with other grant holders. The grant supports salaries for postdoctoral fellows, PhD students (with enrolment at Danish PhD graduate schools required), research assistants for limited periods, and student assistants. The foundation expects applicants to dedicate at least 50% of their research time to the project, with the majority of work carried out in Denmark.
