About this opportunity

The Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) Graduate Student Award of Merit recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees. At least three awards, each in the amount of $4,000, are awarded annually to women graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the university or general community while maintaining exemplary academic records. The award eligibility rotates among designated regions across Canada, including Western Provinces, Quebec, Atlantic Provinces, and Ontario, with varying numbers of awards available per region. Each university in the designated region may nominate one person through the Dean of Graduate Studies.

Each university nominates one candidate through the Dean of Graduate Studies. The Dean appoints a nominating committee and provides the Selection Committee with all necessary documentation.
