Sgt. George R. Miok Memorial Scholarship

The Sgt. George R. Miok Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students with superior academic achievement entering the third or fourth year of study in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing, with preference given to students who are serving or have served in the Canadian Armed Forces or Reserves. This endowed scholarship was established by the family and friends of Sgt George R Miok to honor his memory and support students pursuing careers in education. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship portal.
