Shafi Family Scholarship

The Shafi Family Scholarship was established to assist and encourage students, preferably from developing countries who are undertaking a PhD in Engineering at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship is a contribution to tuition fees only. It is open to students who have completed at least 2.5 years of their PhD studies but require more time to complete their thesis. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of an assessment of the student's ability to complete the thesis within the specified timeframe. Previous scholarship holders will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants from developing countries followed by those who can demonstrate clear financial hardship which could impact their ability to complete their studies.
