Sharon Holland Burns Memorial Nursing Scholarship

The Sharon Holland Burns Memorial Nursing Scholarship supports nursing students at Tarrant County College who are pursuing an Associate of Applied Science Program in Nursing. This scholarship awards $2,000 annually ($1,000 per fall and spring semesters) to students demonstrating academic excellence and commitment to nursing. The scholarship is renewable for up to six consecutive semesters, including summer sessions, provided students maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in the nursing curriculum and complete at least 7 credit hours each semester. Preference is given to single parents with dependent children and to applicants intending to pursue nursing careers in women's health. While financial need is considered, the award may be based on merit if no qualified applicants meet federal financial need guidelines.
