Shaw Doctoral Fellowship

The Shaw Doctoral Fellowship is a renewable fellowship designed to support first-year doctoral students in Shaw Scientist disciplines, including molecular biology, neurobiology, biochemistry, or other similar disciplines with a focus on medical and healthcare-related research. The fellowship is specifically awarded to first-generation students with demonstrated financial need. Selection is based on admissions application materials submitted to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This opportunity is funded through the Greater Milwaukee Foundation James and Dorothy Shaw Fund and administered by the UWM Foundation.
