About this opportunity
Established in 2024/25 by Don Shaw, the Shaw Indigenous Opportunity Entrance Award is available to students of Indigenous ancestry (Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Metis, or Inuit) who are enrolling full-time in any program at the Vermilion or Lloydminster campus. The award recognizes Indigenous students demonstrating academic excellence throughout high school as well as community involvement and leadership. This entrance scholarship supports Indigenous students as they begin their post-secondary education at Lakeland College, helping to remove financial barriers and encourage Indigenous participation in higher education.
