About this opportunity
The Sheila Fitzgerald Scholarship supports students enrolled in an Apprenticeship or Vocational foundation program, consistent with Sheila's deeply held commitment to accessible, high-quality vocational education. This scholarship is valued at $2,000 for one year only and is designed to support continuing Swinburne students who demonstrate educational disadvantage and are pursuing studies in apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship courses in trades areas, or foundational English and general education programs. Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or humanitarian visa holders, enrolled full-time in eligible courses at Swinburne University of Technology in Semester 1, 2026. The scholarship aims to assist students in achieving their educational and career goals in vocational fields including plumbing, carpentry, engineering, electrotechnology, building and construction, as well as English language and general education for adults.
