About this opportunity

The Shing and Constance King Leadership Scholarship is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement continuing in any year of study in the School of Business with a major in Accounting, Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation (Bachelor of Physical Education with a degree program concentration in Cultural and Managerial Studies of Sports and Leisure), or the Faculty of Science with Honours in Chemistry, with preference given to a student with a demonstrated interest in analytical chemistry. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership through involvement and participation in University or community organizations. This award will alternate yearly between Faculties, beginning with the School of Business and followed by the Faculty of Physical Education and then the Faculty of Science. Should no eligible candidate be found in any given year, those in the two remaining Faculties will be considered. Endowed by Janet (King) Clanachan, her husband Gordon Clanachan and children David and Jaime Clanachan and Byron King in honour of the 50th wedding anniversary of Shing and Constance King in December 2007.
