About this opportunity
The Shirley Lewis McCune Memorial Scholarship was established at The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County in memory and honor of Shirley Lewis McCune, who worked for Columbia Gas for many years and was the first female District Manager for the company in Southwestern Pennsylvania. This scholarship supports graduating high school seniors from Westmoreland County, with preference given to seniors from Norwin High School and Jeannette Junior/Senior High School, who plan to pursue a degree in business and/or accounting. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and exhibit academic achievement. This is a single-year award, though previous recipients are encouraged to re-apply in consecutive years provided they maintain full-time enrollment at a 2-or 4-year college or university.
