Shirley Scott Memorial Legal Assistant Scholarship

The Shirley Scott Memorial Legal Assistant Scholarship is offered to first-year full-time students enrolled in the Legal Assistant Program at Red Deer Polytechnic. The scholarship is designed to support students continuing their studies in the subsequent year of the program at Red Deer Polytechnic. Preference is given to students from rural backgrounds. Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement, and demonstrated volunteer involvement. The scholarship provides $1,000 to one selected student each academic year. This award is funded by AltaLaw LLP and aims to support students pursuing careers in the legal assistant field. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship through completion of the General Application on the Red Deer Polytechnic scholarships platform.
