Short-Term Research Fellowships

The New York Public Library offers Short-Term Research Fellowships to support scholars and researchers who need to consult the Library's research collections for their work. These fellowships provide scholars the opportunity to conduct research using NYPL's extensive and unique collections across humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The fellowships are designed to facilitate access to the Library's special collections and research materials that are essential to the fellow's scholarly work. Fellows receive a stipend to support their research stay in New York City while they pursue their projects using the Library's world-renowned resources.
