Shragge Memorial Award in Medicine

The Shragge Memorial Award in Medicine is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in the third or fourth year of a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated intention to complete an elective in a rural hospital or practice. This endowed award was established by the family of the late Dr. and Mrs. Pennie Shragge of Edmonton, Alberta to support medical students who are committed to rural healthcare experiences. Students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
