Shurniak Memorial Scholarship

The Shurniak Memorial Scholarship is an entrance scholarship offered by the University of Saskatchewan to support incoming undergraduate students from rural Saskatchewan. This scholarship recognizes academic achievement and aims to assist students from smaller communities outside of Regina and Saskatoon in pursuing their university education. The scholarship provides substantial financial support valued at $13,000 to help students transition from high school to their chosen undergraduate degree program at USask. Established through the generosity of donor William Shurniak (LL.D. '98), this scholarship reflects a commitment to supporting students from rural areas in accessing higher education opportunities.
