About this opportunity
The Sid and Mary Kay Masterson Scholarship Endowment provides scholarship support within the SIUE School of Education, Health and Human Behavior. The scholarship is specifically designed for students with a declared major in Elementary Education who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. The donor requests consideration of students who attended school in the areas where she dedicated her career, including Wood River, East Alton, Bethalto, and Southwestern. The award amount is $1,000 per year for the first two years of the establishment of this fund, and thereafter will be based on funds available. Recipients are chosen by a committee appointed by the Dean of School of Education, Health and Human Behavior, composed of faculty members from within that department in consultation with the Office of Student Financial Aid. The committee may elect to award all or part of the available funds to one student or to more than one student.
