Sigurd Hagen-Torn Scholarship in Dance, Wellness & Research

The Sigurd Hagen-Torn Scholarship in Dance, Wellness & Research is offered annually to continuing undergraduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts majoring in Dance at the University of Calgary. This scholarship was established by Sigurd Hagen-Torn, a friend of the Dance Department for over 35 years, and reflects his interest in research and the effects of dance on the body as an inspiration to live a healthy lifestyle. The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic merit and extra-curricular activities showing interest in Health & Wellness. Recipients must be in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study and may be of any citizenship or residency status.
