Sikringstiltak

Sikringstiltak is an emergency first-aid grant program for cultural heritage sites in Norway, designed to provide rapid support for urgent, temporary measures to prevent further deterioration of cultural monuments. The program supports immediate protective actions when property owners need time before undertaking larger restoration projects. Examples of eligible security measures include temporary sealing of roof leaks with tarpaulins, propping or bracing walls that are about to collapse, and installing boards to cover missing windows. The fund normally contributes 30% of the total project costs, with support available for urgent interventions that cannot wait for comprehensive restoration planning. This is distinct from their other programs supporting permanent restoration and is specifically meant for quick response to prevent damage.
