Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship

The Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship is a prestigious award established in 2005 in honour of New Zealand's greatest adventurer. This scholarship is open to all subject areas and is awarded to well-rounded individuals who excel in three key pillars: academic achievement, sporting or creative and performing art abilities, and leadership potential. Recipients, known as Hillary Scholars, are supported to thrive in academia and leadership while pursuing their passion for sport or the arts. Up to 25 scholarships are awarded annually, with a total value of up to $30,000 per recipient over three years. The scholarship is designed for school leavers who plan to enrol full-time in an undergraduate degree and demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities alongside active participation in community initiatives.
