About this opportunity
The Sir John Loewenthal Scholarship supports students studying a Master of Philosophy or PhD within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. This scholarship provides financial assistance to outstanding Masters by Research or PhD scholars to conduct research within the faculty. The scholarship was established in 2005 from a gift from John Wong and is specifically available to Hong Kong citizens. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate for the duration of the degree, up to 3.5 years for PhD recipients who commenced candidature on or after January 1, 2019, and up to 1.75 years for Masters by Research recipients who commenced on or after the same date. Recipients must apply through the Research Training Program (RTP) application process and selection is based on the RTP Scholarship application.
