About this opportunity
The Sir Lionel Hooke Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship valued at $7,500 that provides financial support for commencing undergraduate students in the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. Established in 2012 by a gift from Mr John Hooke in memory of his father Sir Lionel Hooke, the scholarship supports recent high school graduates who have been involved in science-related activities and exhibit leadership, creativity and self-motivation. The scholarship is tenable for one year only and is awarded based on academic merit and applicant responses. Recipients must achieve a minimum ATAR of 95.00 or equivalent and maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 75 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. The scholarship value is paid in two instalments after the census date of each semester.
